OverView
As a pioneer in British salon hair colour and celebrity styling, the Daniel Galvin brand required a refined visual presence for its new multi-product consumer collection. Operating as an external artworking engine, Epigraph Studio partnered with the brand's creative leads to adapt locked master artwork across diverse container formats—including amber glass bottles, matte-touch bottles, embossed outer folding cartons, and wholesale salon lookbooks. Every asset was structured within a unified grid architecture to ensure seamless visual continuity between physical salon displays and digital retail environments.
The Challenge
Executing a multi-SKU haircare rollout across varied packaging substrates presents severe manufacturing tolerances. Differences in surface curves, label bleed boundaries, direct-to-glass screen printing limits, and metallic foil stamping registration created significant risk for visual drift between SKUs. Additionally, strict total ink coverage (TAC) thresholds and complex regulatory ingredient listings had to be meticulously typeset onto compact container footprints without sacrificing typographic legibility or luxury shelf presence prior to press drop-off.
The Solution
Working in dedicated studio blocks, we conducted a rigorous preflight audit across all vector dielines, mechanical layers, and spot-colour channels. We established a modular typographic system that rationalized product benefit hierarchy and legal copy across all bottle and box sizes. Substrate-specific CMYK colour mapping was applied to guarantee color fidelity between translucent glass and opaque board stock, while all spot foil layers were designated as non-printing overprint channels to ensure flawless registration during press finishing.
The Result
We delivered a 100% vendor-compliant, press-ready master asset package that passed technical prepress auditing on the first attempt with zero press re-runs or line delays. The Daniel Galvin haircare range launched flawlessly across flagship UK salons and luxury e-commerce channels—supported by crisp physical packaging, structured promotional print suites, and high-bitrate digital reveal assets that embody the brand's legacy of quiet luxury and salon-grade perfection.
